I found an overvalved 2002 Quadcab 6spd, 4x4 3500 with 35K mi at a dealer here. Its black with tan leather interior. Loaded. Excellent shape.

Do you think its worth $25,000 or sould I find a higher mileage 04.5 and newer.

That sounds kinda high even with the low miles, it's still 6 years old.
So what's wrong with the VP44 trucks?????

Sounds like a nice truck. Miles are low, but as said it's still 6 years old. There are a few Diesels up the road from me I will go stop by and see what they have going there. See if they let get a few pictures and what not.

They are still trying to pitch the diesel trucks at higher prices with rising fuel cost. I don't know how they are getting by with the extra cost for the "diesel" catch phrase. I know the trucks are strong rigs and all. The cost of diesel being so much higher they are going to kill the market for our trucks.

Fuel mpg was a factor for me, but not the only one. Had hope to get a RV trailer for later years for travel. Doesn't look hopeful now.

Peace

Seems high to me. I didn't pay that much over 2 years ago for my 01.5 with similar mileage. Granted mine is 2wd and no leather, but that seems high to me.

don't do it!!! take them to the cleaners!! They probably paid $18-20k for it as a trade. If you want that particular truck, take them to the cleaners. I guarantee they are trying to get cars out the door and will negotiate if you play hardball. LOOK OVER THE ENTIRE TRUCK and point out EVERYTHING that is wrong with it. Then go in and negotiate

i'd go with a good condition 2nd gen 12 valve but my opinion might be a little biased.

yea keep looking I only paid 23,000 for mine with 58,000miles and it is a 05 loaded. Look on ebay there are some great deals on there and I have seen a lot of 97 & 98 12V 5 speeds on there cheap.

i only paid $15,500 for my 98.5 with 86K on it....that "dealer" (let me advise you to stay away from Stoney Motors in ogden, utah if you are looking at buying anything) originaly asked $14,500 [verymad] but after 12 people came to look at it in one day they bumped it up and told me it was a miss print...but i still got it for under mid-range kbb, which put it at about $16,800 and it is in near perfect shape.

They sold it 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment to run the numbers and do paperwork.

As much as I like the CRD and having something new, I can't stand the looks or the fact the EVERYBODY has a third gen.

Besides, how many 2nd gen QC dually 4x4's do you see everyday.

I guess I will keep searching.

Keep your eye out on the T.O.M. He said in that thread that he may be selling very soon as his reasons for having it has changed and can't justify holding on to it. Very nice looking truck.

I would love to have it but....
The bank wouldn't let met finance due to mileage.

I just found a nice 2001 Silver Sport 3500 4x4 6spd, leather 86k mi for $19,000. One owner (traded for a Chevy 2500 4 door gasser auto.)
