Only in black...
Talked to the local Line-X dealer the other day...
Apparently it can only be done in black?
I want to do my rockers and possibly fender flares with spray on bedliner...
And preferably have them matched to my silver color code...
ps2 or something like that.
My question is...
Who can match the color and warranty it against fading and chipping?
Maybe an old topic...
But would like any/all updated information...
Possibly pictures.

Well Line-X Xtra dealers can color code.

Some other spray in bed liners will also color match as well as possible.
If you really want it color matched do some more looking. You might have to go out of your area for a day trip or so.

He also told me he'd have to have the truck for 2 days...
That's after I removed the nerf bars, fender flares, tail pipe, etc.
Myself!
At $300 per side, and an extra $150 for the flares...
Seemed like a raw deal to me!

The Line-x guy here where I live can color match and will do any color you want. He did say however that they do not recommend light colors like the white or silver. He said Line-x warns them (dealers) against doing it because the customers will never be satified with the results. The stuff is really hard to clean once it becomes stained and it will get discoloration and start to look yellowish brown. And it is also permanent.

Ya, a buddy of mine got the bed done in white to match his truck, and its turning yellow. Also on another friends ranch truck, the bed is done in a beige color to match the truck and its turning yellow too. Black is your best bet

I dono if its the xtra of not, but I know its lineX. When did the xtra come out? My buddy with the beige one had his done in 06, and it started turning pretty fast. The guy with the white one had his done less than a year ago, and its already turning yellow. Like I said though, I dono if its the Xtra or not

Can you paint over the liners? Ideally, you could get an integral liner color that matches closely and have it painted/color coated to match? That way, if/when the paint chipped then it would be hardly noticable... Paint would protect from the UV color changing...
Maybe that all just sounds stupid?

I don't remember the exact terminology he used...
I don't have a paint booth, and am not going to pay more than the truck's worth to have the rocker's protected...
But I would like to have this done...just not 100% sold on the black...
and don't want the silver to fade...
Heck, I got a sheetmetal shop...wouldn't be the first time I made my own rockers...

"California Style"
My Toyota Tacoma came from the factory with what looks like some kind of undercoating that has paint over it in the rocker area and in front of the rear wheel arch. I think it is supposed to be a chip protection as the undercoated part is nice and impact absorbing with a flexible paint. The paint looks a bittle ripply as the material underneath is that way. It looks good and has help up very well. I don't have paint chips in that area...
