one last harness PLEASE HELP

i dont know where this one last harness goes. i took a picture or 2 of where the plug's wires are coming from and traced them with a red line, and i took another pic or two of the plug itself. my truck is a 2000, so if anyone with a year around that could just look under the drivers side of the dash, in between the brake and emergency pedals, there is a big white plug with a bolt going right through the middle of it. if you follow the wires back like an inch or two, there is a chunk of wires coming out of the mass of wires. there is a white plug that goes in right underneath the big white wires, and another plug coming from that same chunk of wires that splits off. i just need to know where this plug goes and i can finish my truck.

the only thing i can say it the wires are only so long ,say the wires at 6 inches long, therefor the male end of the plug can only be within a 6 inch radius from the end of the wire where it goes into the harness... catch my drift? other then that i cant help, good luck to ya!

The connector with the 4 pins looks a lot like the passenger airbag disarm switch connector, but the one in my 98.5 has all 4 wires connected. I seems yours shows only 2 wires.

hmmm...i'm gonna check, that might be it, does yours come out of the the same wrap as the big white harness with the bolt through it by the brake pedals? on the first pic you can see where it comes from. that white block on the left is the big plug by the foot brake and the white one above it is actually below it since the picture is upside down. thanks for the help fellas

ok so its not the passenger airbag disarm switch connector. its too far away, and it doesnt fit. could someone even check to see if there is just a connector like that hanging by their brake pedal, it might not go into anything or be for some type of aftermarket accessory. or maybe there is someone around south jersey with a 2nd gen 24v that i could peek under the dash?? nothing has to come off... i am so close to putting this thing back together.

I just pulled the knee bolster off to look for that 4 pin connector. There is nothing like that near my brake peddle and looking at the harness on my 98.5, it doesn’t have the same split of wires as yours.

Generally when you come across a connector with an odd shape like that, it is designed to make it impossible to miss-connect and is usually used on a critical circuit like airbags.

Ok, sorry I didn't see this earlier. That plug is attached to the left side of the big white plug with the bolt through it, on the emergency brake side. The male half of it comes down from the A-pillar right above the emergency brake assembly. I got a pic of it, but I don't know how to post it on here. Hope that helps...

if i am seeing the first picture correctly..that loom of wires is the one connected to the "white box with bolt" at the "bottom" of the white box...(the bottom being the part closest to the floor board)...now on my 99 i see the white box...i have a wire loom comming in at the "bottom" on that loom i have 2 pigtails with connectors....one is longer than the other...the short one is maybe 4 inches and connects to a pin on the left side of the "white box" and the other pigtail is maybe 6-8 inches it seems to be a 4 pin male plug...i think our wires are sheethed in different colors...but this pin connects to another plug in...on the SAME SIDE AS THE FIRST PIGTALE just above it....it is a "joint kind of connection"...this pigtale connects to the top of a joint which on the bottom side has a two wire male plug comming out...

so...what i see..is a four wire pin connecting to a "joint" leading to a two wire out....it is on the "left" or "rocker pannel" side of the "white box" at the "top" or portion of the "white box" heading toward the cluster.

i think the reason your overlooking it...is becasue this connection "appears to have a plug already in it....that is the bottom of the plug your seeing...above it is a "female" ready to accept the male plug you have hanging....

look into it...i havent the first clue what it is for...but that is where my pigtale goes...it just wraps back around the wire loom to that connection.

NCA

Pics....

entire wire loom....your pig tail comes from the bottom correct....

here is the lower pigtail...again connecting to the "white block" on the lower left side of it...it is only about 4" long...

this is the second pigtail....as you can see the first pig tail is connected in the background....this one leads to the connection just above it....you can kinda see the connection above...

now in this picture you can see both connectors on the left side of the "white box" the one on the top is where my SECOND pigtail leads to...the longer of the two...the deciving thing is that is appears that the second connection is already made...becasue of the wires leading out....but it connects on "TOP" of that....look in the last pic....

you see what i mean......

maybe this helps...maybe not......i hope so.....but like i said....these are the only two "pigtale's" comming from the large wire loom connection at the bottom of that "white box" and they connect back to a connection on that box....

ok so i just spent about a 1/2 hour looking on the left side of the white block with the bolt and its pretty bare. i guess next thing to do is take some pictures of and all around that harness and see if you guys can see where it plugs in. if that doesn't work, i'm gonna see if there are any DTR guys in the south jersey area who wanna help me out and finally the last resort is to take it to a dealer. we'll go at it tomorrow. thanks for all the help so far fellas.
