Old style rings on newer engines????

As some of you are aware of the purchase I made in Texas and the headache the dealer has left me with. With all my calls to shops around Texas, I found a shop that says they have come up with a way to put old stlye rings on these new engines to make them a "True 1 Million Mile Engine Again."

They didn't give me a price as they haven't come up with one yet for there work and design of doing this. So my question to you more technically advanced engine guys out there.

Would this really be something to do when people rebuild these engine's? As what I have found this is the biggest weak spot of these engines. The rings.

Just curious how everything worked out with your dealer in Texas? Indiana doesn't have the same laws as Texas, so I am looking at a much bigger battle i'm afraid
