old man died, thier selling his 94CTD with 24,***

story goes....

good freind of mines uncle bought a truck from an old woman. her husban had just died and she needed the $ for the truck. He bought it just to turn around and sell,Edit

94 CTD with 24,882 miles on it. I have never seen a truck so clean that wasent on the fractory lot. the paint is in beutiful shape. I walked around it 5 times before he pointed out the only nick. not one scratch.

it has a 5th wheel in it. and I think they must have taken thier socks off when they installed it. the inside of the bed has 0 scratches in it.

the interior looks as if it was never sat in. literaly.

under the hood looks as if it was just detailed with a makeup brush for 20 hours its so clean I dont think you could get dirty working on it.

under the truck is he same way. perfect

the only mods to it are a K&N filter, stupid looking after market extendable tow mirrors and sum ugly lights he screwed to the tailgate.

asking $18,600 I think its a little steep, but its hard to argue with th guy. it looks like dodge broke out the old dies and bulid a new 2nd gen for the hell of it

sorry guys no pics it was dark so I dident bother grabing the camera. I wanted a good look so I ran it up to the car wash and stared at it under the lights. in going back out thier tomorow with the wife for another test drive ill brig the camera with me.

I think you found yourself a very good find.... Not sure about the price myself... quite unusual to say the least.... would certainly be a good truck to keep around in a barn for another 40 or so years and then it may really be worth something..... to someone....

I don't remember where, but I'd almost guarantee that's the same truck. Remember amazing pictures, barely used 5th wheel, 24k miles and change, 5 speed, fully optioned minus leather. I'm almost positive it was autotrader, but it could have been cars.com. Definitely one of the two though.

With all the upgraded parts since 94 and being it is not a historic. 14000 tops IMHO. Its a great motor connected to a soso body.

I agree all the way. If it's too old or too many miles, the bank will walk the other way or wont lend much.

coming up with the cash is not a problem...

but why do you say its a soso body? why is it any difrent from a 05 with
24,*** on it?

to me I like the old 12 valves. but I also want a pretty new truck. I have been looking at 03-05 for a while now. and I cant touch a truck with less than 50,*** for less than 25K

hell I been looking at 94-97 trucks with right at 100K going for $14,***

dont know... I got alot of thinking to do in the next few days.

man, if you can swing it and you've got a garage that it'll fit in, I say go for it... get him down as low as you can and don't look back. If you're meticulous about your vehicles, you can spend money hand over fist cleaning up an old truck with dings, scratches, interior flaws, fluid leaks, etc. etc. etc.

Another area that has concern is getting full coverage insurance coverage, if that is you plan. Some insurance companies are getting wierd about insuring old vehicles, and when they do they want you to get a classic policy which has limited mileage uses or you loose the policy. Just FYI, might be good to check out all the details. It does sound like a good deal, I would try to get him down too. Blue book is blue book, and financing is limited with a vehicle that old, big cash difference maybe?
