Oil weight and official sources for it!!!!! HELP gotta fight a dealership

Ok I brought my 05' into the ******* ---- uh dealership! For leaky injectors some classic symptoms random hard start, increased smoke, 3 to 4 quart higher oil level since the last time I put a measured 13qrts in 10k miles ago.

They tell me next day they can't find anything. I had unfortunately told them to do an oil change not realizing it would be covered by warranty if leaky injectors are found.

I go to pick it up, of course they talk to me like I have never seen or heard of a car before. Assumed that I was the standard uninformed idiot! So I'm like what tests did you do? Well we tried starting it and she started right up cold or not and we checked teh oil and it didn't seem thinned out.

***!! ***!!!!!!!!!

They put in 15w40 for an 05' 5.9 CTD is that the right weight? Please help.

Not to make you feel worse, but maybe it'll help someone else. The first thing you should done was take an oil sample and sent it off for analysis. Once they drained the oil your evidence was gone.

Blackstone labs would be a good place to send for analysis. Google them

My first failed injector they covered the oil change after I fought them for it, they said to use one of my Oil change coupons, I paid for those why would I use one?

1K miles later, second injector failure (I'm sure they misdiagnosed which injector first time), they refused to cover the oil change. I explained that they covered the initial oil change last time and after 500 miles I paid for an oil change that was *strongly recommended* by their tech.

So to summarize...

42K miles Paid oil Change (Regular interval)
45K miles Injector failed
45K Miles Free Oil change after fighting for it
45.5K miles Paid for *recommended* Oil change
46K miles Injector failed
46K miles Paid for Oil change
46.5K miles Paid for *recommended* Oil change

I paid for 4 Oil changes out of 5 in the span of 4,500 miles or less than 2 months.

Chrysler customer service is severely lacking.

Welcome to the world of Fiat. How do you think the made it back from near death, DENY as much warranty items as they can. I've already been warned by my dealer that is what they have already been directed to push for now on. He has a guy sitting there with a damaged motor because a factory inject nozzel broke off and scored the block. They blamed it on his EB non factory installed.
