Oil sender unit acting up

My oil sender unit has be acting up for some time.
It works but reads real high cold and then real low hot.

I picked up a little gauge from Jegs and some line, think 2' section.
Just got it hooked up, real easy and tapped into the port at the top of the filter.
It really is a great feeling to know the real pressure.

Question is did not pay to close to the high other then it jumps, to maybe 80 or so, when cool around 30 and hot just setting maybe 20-22.

What would be on the low side that you would worry about and what would be on the high side that you have seen.

I did the gauge just as a check, the gauge is a racing type and a backup to the dash gauge if it starts reading funny or not at all. The good thing about the flex line is it is long enough that I could lift the hood and set it or zip tie to the windshield washer and still see if needed.
