thanks my oil preasure is at 70 psi at 70 mph and 2000 rpm i was wondering if this was high and what would cause high oil preasure (new used truck to me)

Is this from a real gauge or dash gauge? Dash gauges and sending unit are subject to lots of varations.
Seventy is sort of high IMO. Would rather have 40 PSI or so. Less HP to maintain. On the other hand seventy is not bad. It just increases the oil churning around in the crankcase.

Find someone with a real gauge ...added on... and you will hear about a lot higher pressures than the gauge shows. The member I talked to (an 01) said idle is around 60 psi and it cruises around 70-80 psi.
