Oil Pressure
On my 96 it takes 3-5 seconds for the oil pressure gauge to register after starting the truck. A bunch of people have told me that its nothing to worry about since once it registers the pressure is fine. Im still a little worried about it and would like the opinions of some of the diesel pros on here.
I know on my 00 gasser the pressure registers almost immediately when I start it which is why I am concerned about it on the diesel.

Amsoil even has a pre-luber now. Can even integrate the thing into their bypass filtration system.
Now if I only had space on the frame rails left to mount something like this...

I heard the delay is because the PCM is still doing a post start check and that the pressure actually comes right up but just doesn't register. People who have an aftermarket OP gauge tell me their pressure comes right up.
