Oil Pressure Gage

I have an open pod in one of my gage clusters. i have read about the value of knowing you have good oil pressure in the pan (cracked injectors leaking fuel in and so on) Is this a valid case? Does anyoen here run one ? If so where did you put the feed line for the gage and where did you get the gage. I run Dipricol gages now and would like to match the appearence.

you could run the gauge off the oil filter housing, there is a 1/8" plug in the top.

Hi, I have a one in a overhead mount. I put the sender in the oil fliter housing, there are 2 1/8npt plugs on top, I used the one to the left as you are looking at it. I had to get a 45deg pice of pipe fron the hardware store to make it work, there is a collent pipe right above the housing that prevents you from just putting the sender in. My pressure is about 35-45psi cold idle, 13-18psi hot idle and about 45-50psi at anything above 1000rpm, also I'm running Shell Rottela T 5w-40 synthic. I got the gauages from Jeg's they are Autometer

What do you mean by oil pressure in the pan?
