oil pan gasket?
for a 2000 do you have to raise the engine to replace the oil pan gasket or can you get it out from underneath that support bracket while still in place?

From what I know you dont have to raise the engine. You can replace the gasket by just dropping the pan but you wont be able to remove it from the truck it will just drop down about 2-3 inches.. So its your call...
I was thinking about doing mine soon also. Until i was talkin to grandpa and he said just drain the oil overnight, re-torque the pan bolts, clean everything well, then spray the seam between the pan and block down with black spray pain a few times... I dunno maybe that would work??
