I get a small leak around the gasket have put a few turns to the bolts to stop it for a while just dont really want to pull the pan down .Any reason to do it ?I keep a good eye on the engine compartment to try keep clean so i can catch any problems asap

pull each bolt out 1 at a time and put loctite on it and put it back in and you should not have a problem again .. and with only a drop you can always get the bolts lose again if needed

Do u torque each bolt? Or just hand tighten it. Most fasteners need to have a. Appropriate preload/ torque to them in order to prevent backing off. Locktite works well too, or u could try locking washers/ Belleville washers to maintain torques.

ive been just hand tightening them . it has done this scene the first 30k shouldnt they be torqed at the factory and hold if just torqing them is going to work im a little nervous to use lock tight and if i use lock washers may be need longer bolts to accommodate the washer just thing this out not to big of a deal but if i want to keep my engine clean got to do one or the other

You'll be fine with loctite, just make sure it's the blue stuff. Wouldn't bother with the added hassle of lock washers. I have had about half a dozen times I have had the pans off these engines and never experienced any problems with the bolts coming loose. Not sure if you have replaced you pan gasket, but don't forget to use some silicone on the front between the gear housing and block, and also the rear between the block and rear main seal casting. The blue loctite isn't too bad to break loose, versus the red I have always had to heat up a little. For that reason I keep our red loctite hidden in the shop.

No need for lock washers. Blue locktite is all you need. I have never heard of this problem before. What torqe values are you using?

Blue locktite and good and tight has always worked for me.
