Oil in intercooler

Oil in intercooler

When I blew my turbo last week it shot oil into the exhaust and intercooler. Do I need to get this out or would it hurt the motor? If I need to get it out should I remove it or start the engine and unhook the other side and blow it out?

id clean it out, its possible if theres enough to get a runaway condition supposedly

I agree with Dshiftff...clean it out....we had one go on one of our bus engines...thought the cooler would be ok...it wasn't..........engine exploded... ( never did find all the pistons)....lol
