Maybe you got air in the lines. I think you might have to pull an injector line to get the air bubble out if that's what happened.

Is it possible that the gasket on the FF is not right and it is sucking air?

What year truck?

Where is your fuel pressure guage mounted?

I'm going to guess you have a dying lift pump.
When you changed the filter you broke prime, and now the injection pump is having a hard time pulling it's own fuel all the way from the tank.

Assuming this is a 24 valve 2nd gen truck we are speaking of.

IF THIS WERE THE CASE SHE WOULD loose her prime while parked...

I too am thinking air in the lines...BUT it should have perged by now...however if not you may have damaged the cylinders from running them dry...usually
"AT AN IDLE" you make sure all cyls have fuel b4 you go down the road

TRY to crack the connections @ the injecters@ an IDLE

if no fuel PURGE IT

if there is fuel ...
and it is still running poorly with fuel maybe a bad injecter
or you did damage it running DRY Cyls

GOOD LUCK, Flip

Are you talking about some cylinders in the injection pump?

I was thinking along the lines where if you have a bad lift pump and the seal at the FF was not good, the VP would draw a vacuum. The only reason I even thought that was because of the recent FF change...I sort of assumed tat the LP was dead.

NO I was talking about PISTONS...running dry cylinders gives the pistons NO lube above the pistons
