"The Oil Age Is Over"
The book "The Oil Age Is Over" by Matt Savinar is available for free downloading until Nov 2 (election day) at:
http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/...downloads.html
If you have not heard of "Peak Oil", I recommend you start by reading this book. This is a sobering projection of the future. As an engineer, I think the lawyer author did a good job with the technical aspects; I only hope his military/political/economic projections are wrong.

I don't see how he could be all wrong but keeping in mind if his book was in line with popular thinking that we'll adapt and get by, it would be totally boring and wouldn't sell. However, I don't doubt we'll see $7.00 a gallon fuel in the next few years. And I'll be driving less, riding my Harley and bicycle more, and we'll be a lot less wasteful. We can't deny that Americans from the wealthiest to the poorest are extremely wasteful. Things we take for granted are going to become very expensive. Only then will we take it serious.
