Offset ball joint

I'm not very familiar with the steering components. I had NTB perform an alignment. They said I had a worn ball joint and it needed to be replaced. After replacing the ball joint, they still could not get alignment correct. The mechanic told me that I'd need an offset ball joint. He asked if I had hit anything or had a wreck - which I have not. What could possibly be so out of whach that I'd need an offset balljoint? I need to get some front-end work done (steering stabilizer and trackbar) and need to know if this offset ball joint is going to interfere with alignment or anything else after the mods.

I would use adjustable camber sleeves first. Offset ball joints are a last resort thing because it does make alignment harder and it may never be exactly right. Also, you need to make sure your alignment is done right, especially caster. Look at this thread for more info.
