o/d
We talked about putting a newer tranny in our trucks, but they needed vacuhm that varies with acceleration. So my question is, can we use a boost switch ? The vacum switch cuts the tranny out of o/d when you punch it and vacum drops. If we used an adjustable boost switch and a relay if we punch it boost goes up and cuts relay out. any ideas ?

Hum ok better explanation, if we use a 94 tranny its an o/d with lockup. you can use two oil senders in a port on pass side, at a given pressure the o/d will come on and at another it locks up. On gassers they use a vacum switch to basicly drop it out of o/d when you punch it, gives you a passing gear. but vacum on our trucks is constant. this site explains it better.

push button is a pain at best at least on lock up
