NV5600 Shifter Removal

Putting in a South Bend clutch this weekend and my dad seems to be worried about how to get the shifter out. He said he was thinking you just have to pull up on it real hard and it will come out. This doesn't sound right to me. I won't have time to look at it before we start on Friday and we really need to get it done as quickly as possible so I'm trying to plan ahead. Anybody know how it comes out?

There are 4 or 6, can"t remember exactly, small bolts that hold the shifter on top of the transmission. You will see them when once you remove the plastic cup holder thing.

Thanks kennedy, I figured there were some bolts holding it down.

The shifter, itself, just unscrews from the stub sticking out of the trans.
