I'm sitting in the Lowes parking lot right now and my Trans won't go into gear. It is stick in neutral and won't even move to the right toward 5th and reverse. Any ideas? I'm gonna try to tear into this thing right here and see what I can find.

I took it apart and saw that the shifter bolts were loose and allowed the shifter to skip into neutral while the shift forks still had reverse engaged. After manually disengaging it and putting it back together it drove fine.

Interesting. I had the same thing happen on my NV5600 while trying to get on the freeway rowing thru the gears. I pulled over & Igot it unstuck & haven't had a problem since. So now i wonder if something has loosened up on the shift tower & might happen again.

Sort of a common problem due to when the end of the shifter gets worn out.
Most times it gets stuck when it tries to go into 3rd and 5th at the same time while shifting into 5th.
Unfortunately new shifters are no longer available but you can avoid it getting stuck by shifting carefully into each gear, not half way inbetween gears.
