I just installed my SB DD3250 clutch & I had a problem with my NV4500 transmission that I just had compltely rebuilt 4000 miles ago. 3-4th synchro was grinding a little....so I had the shop replace the 3-4 synchro. Now it is shifting perfect, but it is popping out of third gear when cruising through residential areas at 25-30mph. What could be causing this?

Did you call the shop that did the work? It sounds like it could possibly be a setup problem in the tranny. If they did a complete rebuild you should not be having any problems. Give them a call and see what they say.

I just installed a new tranny mount & it is not popping out of gear now, but the shifter shakes in third gear. I hold my hand on the shifter when in third & can feel alot of movement in the shifter. I am going to check my engine mounts....then call the shop tomorrow. It really shifts like a dream, but the third gear has this little problem. I have a 3 year warranty on this tranny....no worries.

Glad you have the warranty. Mistakes and problems do happen and when they do warranties are worth their weight in gold. I'm getting close to clutch time myself and when I do the work I'll go through the tranny to install a fully splined shaft to avoid the fifth gear worries. I have been considering having a shop do it to avoid the mess in the garage and also for the warranty.

I called the shop today....guy said that he will pull the tranny & fix the problem. It popped out of 3rd gear today a few times.....I thought it wouldn't, but it did. I just gotta have my truck back....tired of waiting for this tranny guy. I told him maybe in 2 weeks or so I'll bring it down, but I really need my truck right now....I'll just run it for a week or two to extend my warranty. LOL
