I have overhauled 4 speeds,but want to do a overhaul on the NV4500 5-speed...Have all the snap ring pliers etc...Need to know if someone here has done a full overhaul and need to know what special tool or tools I will need...I did a search on the tools required,but need to know if a alternate tool could be used..Just feed back before I purchase...

When i tore one down i just needed a press(for the bearing on the mainshaft) and a 5th gear nut tool, and snap ring pliers, i dont recall needing anything special

Thanks Dave....I kind of figured that...I have all that except the 5th gear nut tool and I think one of the Alberta members has one...

Just off topic....Did you ever get those rockers welded in??

If you can't find one, let me know, I drew one up and had it waterjetted out of S7 tool steel.......no way that one will break.

I could send you the .DXF file to have someone up there either waterjet or Laser one out, assuming you know someone who has one. I think my buddy said it took him around an hour with the Water jet.
