For the novice - need pictures PLEASE...
Question. Have a 2004 2500 Diesel 4x4 with 6 speed transmission (NV5600). Anyone know where I can find some really good illustrations of the underside of my truck; specifically where the transmission attaches to the drive train (or at least what I think is the drive train). Have checked my manual, have searched the web. Can find pictures of the transmission itself but none of it installed. Need mechanical illustrations because I believe I have 2 screws missing. Now before you fall out of your chair laughing let me explain. Took it in for service on the transmission because I was getting an audible whiring going into reverse. Got a bit of run around, and was told to change the transmission fluid. So that gets done and I get it home and I start noticing an oil leak. Get under the truck and the oil is leaking from that point where the transmission attaches to something running lengthwise down the middle of the truck. On the bottom of course; aforementioned drivetrain possibly. And there are two holes that look like they should have screws in them right next to where the leak is. So I need to take the truck back and have this addressed. Being female and having gotten some pretty how shall we say nicely, "inaccurate", explanations in the past I'd like to have a general idea of what the problem is prior to going in. Sorry guys - I know I have some trust issues. But this is my transmission and messing this one up is not an option. So if I could get a picture or even a good description including the number of screws that are supposed to be there, it would make me feel better. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. Mechanically-inclined male friends who might be able to look at it or go to the shop with you?
2. Find a new shop (Preferably a Dodge dealer. Where are you located? Members may be able to recommend one)
It's hard to diagnose this over the internet. I don't have the 6 spd tranny so I can't take pictures for you.
Unless you are leaking massive amounts of fluid, you do have time on your side. Small leaks will not result in damage to your transmission.
It's not uncommon for any vehicle to whine a little in reverse, perhaps it's normal............anyone else?
Perhaps you could post pictures of the two holes that should have bolts in them?

thats blowby from the motor every truck will have it clean up the grease on the trans and whenyour under there look at the yellow tube off on the drivers side it will have an oily residue in it that is where the oil is coming from. zip tie a bottle to the tube and you wont have anymore oil spills

Thank you for all the comments. Not sure I can get better shots without getting the darn thing on a lift. If it helps, I was right under the transmission and the left side of the pictures are towards the front of the truck.
The service was peformed at a Dodge dealership. I am in the Dayton area so any references on good diesel mechanic shops are welcome. As I understand it, it's kinda hard to find someone who knows what to do with this particular transmission (if there is a problem). There used to be a good place on Dixie, Dayton Diesel Injection I think, but it closed.
