Not a bad first 2 months!

Well, I've had my rig for about two months now, and have not been able to stop tinkering with it. It was nice when I got it, but I just can't ever leave anything alone! With the help of tons of info and lots of nice folks on here, I have finally got it close to how I want it. (Yeah, right!)

The mechanical list includes: Goerend trans and converter w/MagHytec DD pan, Diesel Site ext. trans filter, HE 351 turbo w/elbow, JMB CAI, MBRP 4" exh., Smarty Jr., Bilstein 5100 shocks +str. stab., PSC str. brace, Hellwig rear sway bar, Geno's poly track bar bushings, Energy fr. swaybar + link bushings, swapped to factory alum. wheels w/285/70/17 Hankook Dynapro ATMs.

Interior mods include: Autometer Phantom EGT,boost, fuel press.,+ trans. temp. gauges, Kenwood CD/MP3 player w/4-Sony spks., Kenwood amp and 2-10" Kicker sub boxes, SP turbo timer, Coverpro dash cover, converter lock up switch, and new driver's pwr. wdw. switch.

In the looks dept., changes include: Westin SS side steps, Mopar chrome grille, taillight guards + wheelwell liners, Kobalt dia. plt. toolbox, Lund dia. plt. side rail + tailgate guards, AVS vent visors, Lund hood scoop, tinted wdws. + cab lights, and taillight strip. Also did some de-and re-badging.

Sorry so long, but I've been on here a while now and never really had much to add, just a lot of ?'s and such. Thanks a ton to all who have helped me along the way. I can't wait to REALLY do some modding!

And now..the pics!

Richard,
Let me be the first to say that it looks like you didn't waste any time getting your rig setup nicely.

On another note, I just noticed that you are from Oakville. It's a small world as I grew up in Oakville and we moved to WI when I was 8 as my father was a Brewmaster. He worked at the Falstaff Brewery back in the 70's.

Nice truck, I wish the underside of my truck was that clean. With all the potash they put on the roads up here, things get corroded quickly...

Nice looking ride...

How does it handle with those sway bars? I've been thinking of doing that too.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I couldn't believe how clean the underside was when I first looked at it. It is a Texas truck, and I don't think the thing has ever been off the pavement. That has already changed in it's new life here in MO. Skydram, it is a small world indeed! Let me be the first to thank your Dad for all the enjoyment he brought to my old man. He was a Falstaff man to the very end. You wouldn't believe how many of those I had to fetch from the cooler for him and my uncles when I was a kid! Tedonlin, the truck handles great. I had 6 big dudes and a bed full of firewood in it last weekend, and we were driving on some twisty paved backroads. I was taking 40 mph (posted) corners at 50-55, and there was really no bodyroll to speak of. It just went where I told it with no drama. Even my buds were pretty impressed with how smooth and solid it seemed. It's no sports car, but it sure doesn't seem like a 1 ton truck in the twisties, that's for sure!

I'm glad your father enjoyed it. I have started looking around for some old Falstaff memorabilia for a bar that I want to build in our basement some day. I was just a youngin when we lived there but I still remember the smell down at that brewery. We lived at Telegraph and Pottle if you know where that is.

Funny thing is that I grew up in an anti-Budwieser household as my father was the assistant brewmaster or head brewmaster at a few competing breweries over the years. When we left St Louid for Milwaukee, he had the unfortunate task of perfecting the swill that is now called Miller Lite.

Many years later I became a regional sales manager for Polk Audio. When I was given the MO territory I soon found out that August Busch was our best customer. I visted his house out there a few times and let me tell you, the beer on the taps at his place doesn't taste anythng like the stuff that you get in the store. His one fridge in the house was full of beer with a born on date of tommorrow. Beer trucks were there everyday switching out the beer in the fridge as well as the kegs.
