Norrowing down my upgrades
Ok, I think I've norrowed it down to putting a smarty in my stock rig. I just want something that gives a little kick and helps w/ towing and the whole daily driving thing. I like the code reading ability and recalibrating for tire size change.
Now, I've got to norrow down my monitoring options. I read somewhere that there's a module that has all sorts of monitoring parameters in one nice clean package. I like the look of the separate gauges but I wanna keep it clean.
Can anyone throw me a bone on this one?

Sounds like your talking about the Quadzilla Commander (click SHOP DTR link), I can't comment on it cause I don't have one. Don't know how much reading you do here but generally the clutch is the weak link for a 6 spd man, also keeping your EGT's in check.

I originally had digital guages (bullydog outlook) but I couldnt stand them. All the flickering of digital guages drives me nuts. I ended up with analog from dieselmanor and Im very happy with them.
Also, if you are going to install a Smarty or ANY power addy you can kiss your warranty goodbuy. They can say they are undetectable all day long, but it doesnt mean jack when the dealership voids it.

The particular dealer I'm referring to sells air intakes, Exhaust systems, programmers, etc.
Granted, they don't sell the Smarty, but then again, I realize i'm one of "Those guys" who can't leave well enough alone. I'll build my truck to take it, and if it voids the warranty, so be it, because after all, when I'm through with it, it should be more beefy and less prone to failure than when it left the assembly line.
To my knowledge, there hasn't been a whole lot of "Random" failures occur on this platform... They've been perfecting it for quite a while now...
Feel free to chime in if anyone here knows different.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into the commander. As far as programmers go, I'm not looking to race it, just unleash what the govt. has choked down on these things.

I ran across a monitor called "Dash Hawk". Anyone ever heard of it? If I were to go w/ analog, what are the ones needed for a 6spd set up?
-EGT
-Boost
-????
Do any of these compact units offer cool down timer or, is that a separate unit?
