normal temp for egt gauge

i got done installing my egt gauge and i went and drove around for awhile. The gauge barely broke 200. I am just wondering what everybodys normal temps are.

I just installed an Edge and my egt, at a warmed up idle, is around 295 to 300 deg. I am amazed at how fast the temps rise and fall under various driving conditions. It will climb up to 900 deg in a heartbeat - just getting up to hwy speed. Double check your install - something doesn't sound quite right.

Cheers!

Mike

Barely broke 200 for all the driving?

Yea something isnt right. Normal driving for me is between 500 and 1100 depending on everything.
But even with my truck in park at idle its around 240*.

Did you install it post or pre turbo? Also, where did you hook up your connections? Varies truck to truck but certain electrical noise will screw up the gauge. Heck when I K up my CB, my egt gauge falls to 0..still need to re-wire the CB to the battery...
