Is this Normal?

I have the 06 megacab with only 10,000 miles and it seems that is has about a 2 second delay when I mash on the accel.pedal from a dead stop before it actually launches. I know that most diesels have some turbo lag but this seems a bit to much lag, it will get you in trouble if you try to jump out in front of someone which here in the houston area happens quite a bit. This is my first dodge and other than this problem and the horrible seats it has been great. Is this normal?

Since the 05' and up trucks are drive by wire on the throttle pedal you may need to have it rest. The only real way to see what is going on is with an OBII tool to monitor the TPS on the skinny pedal. You may just be having turbo lag which is normal and that is if the truck starts acclerating when you barely mash on the gas and then it takes off. Hope this helps.

yes thats exactly what is happening ,it starts accelerating slowly and then takes off. Guess I just have to get used to the lag.
Thanks
