how normal is my auto transmission?
my tranny seems to hesitate between 2nd and 3rd as well as 3rd into od.
I looked at my fault codes and says that my tps is above 4.9 volts dc.
Is this the problem and how do you correct the tps voltage?

Are you saying that it does this at full throttle? Or is it at part throttle?
BTW, the 47rh- used till 96 in our trucks- can/will have an issue like this at full throttle if the cable is adjusted to strong.
What happens is the Cummins runs out of rpm before the trans builds enough pressure in the gov. to command a shift.
The best fix is to install a 3,000 rpm kit in the injection pump.
