They won't fit because the early injectors have a 9mm tip and the later ones have a 7mm tip. I think the later ones have a different spray angle too.
cheers,
Douglas

Non i/c to i/c won't work because of what Douglas said. However, if you do buy aftermarket injectors, they come with 7mm nozzles. Therefore, you will need sleeves/adapters to make them work in your non i/c, 9mm head. Spray angles are a little different, non i/c spray at 155* and i/c spray at 145*. Some guys have found that running 145* with a non i/c pistons seems to burn fuel really well.

A 3200rpm spring will give it a better feel. Throttle response will be better as well. A great (and cheap!) mod for our pumps.

I did for $125...

$100 for injectors
$25 for machine shop to turn them down to 7mm.

Spray angle is going to be outside the bowl but you can counteract that with a timing bump. Basically, you add POD injectors to it. I know, $ for $, I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Bumping timing will make it spray out worse. It makes it pop earlier, and that causes it to come out of the bowl.

Yeah, I had it backwards.

Never mind the timing bump... I never got around to it but I was just doing what the guys with PODs had done.
