Im taking it to the local dealership tomorrow. Im about to go remove the tst. Whats the odds of warranty coverage on something like this? So if any thoughts please reply.

Good odds as long as they dont detect evidence of the TST.

What are the odds of this thread turning into a dilemma on ethics? A lot of folks here would say that it's pretty unfair of you to take the box off and try to cheat the dealer into paying for a repair that you may have caused..

Question

I agree Lightman, I can't believe the brass cahoonas on some people who seem to be able to sleep with themselves after committing fraud - pure and simple.

If you're stock - Talk the Talk & Walk the Walk, otherwise - YOU made the decision to VOID your own warranty. No wonder warranty claims go in the toilet more often than not.

Don't get me wrong bombing can be fun, just don't expect DC to support you're quest and all will be fine for all of us

Bombs away!! (After warranty)

Rant done.

Enjoy

Put a good aftermarket TQ & VB in it as a stock one will break again anyway so why bother with another stock one.

Don't start jumping down his throat yet.

Who's to say that the part('s) failed due to them being a failure on D-C....and that the TST's did nothing to it?????

It could be a sensor, a wire, or something stupid. And you guys mean to tell me that the TST caused that???? If the truck is driving and shifting ok except for the lockup, probably nothing big.

What get's me is how everyone automatically blames a mod to be the cause of a failure.

If that was the case, all of the service department's around the world would be out of business, because that would mean all the stock trucks don't break

Heck go over to Ford and see how many stock 6.0's are in the shop!

The trucks break modded or stock.......as the saying goes......"they are all junk....just pick one"

Take the TST off, so see the dealer, see what they say....go from there. Plain and simple.

If they won't warranty, then call up ATS and get yourself a TC & VB. Even if they do warranty, the stock TC won't and can't hold that much power for long.

All the clutches in the tranns were burned up. You could say the tst caused it, but i say i caused it. Not enought self-control, and the thought dodge tuff. Im going to install the tst again, and run it on the lower setting only untill i get the tranny upgraded.
