No Regen

I have 622 miles on my new 2008 and have not had a regen yet. Is this normal with the EGR unpluged? I unpluged it with 58 miles on it. It runs fine and am grtting about 18 MPG. TOM

You probably had a regen and didn't even notice. It doesn't tell you when it does one.

With out an Edge system you can only tell by the crappy mileage and the smell.

I've got over 23,000 miles and wonder if mine ever runs a regen. I've taken mine to the shop 3 times and all 3 times they tols me my DPF was full. The overhead console said "System OK".

Our Jeep has a DPF also, if it didn't have gauges, I'd never know when it's regening. Think about getting a dashhawk, or edge insite.

The only time the OH will tell you that you are in regen is if you get a 80% or higher message.
