no OD this morning
got up started up my truck this morning, let it run about 10-15 minutes. jumped in to go to school. hit 55 (not flooring it or anything) OD didint kick in. it went into OD last night fine. stoped at hardees and met up with my buddies then jumped back in about 15 minutes later and went into OD just fine. so im wondering was it something with my torque converter slipping? i just put in the TC lock up switch and i have used it once. just an easy 10 minute install and used it to see what it was like but thats it. so do you think it was the TC slipping or is it soemthing else I should be worried about?

At low tranny fluid temps, the TC will not lock and you will not have O/D untill the fluid gets warm enough. How cold has it been in your area? This use to happen to me all the time in AK. That's just one guess. I'm no tranny expert so hopefully you'll get some input.

had the same problem on my 97 last year. just an all of a sudden thing...the electrical unit in the dash was messed up and had to be replaced. Check your wiring and make sure everything is still okay with the lock up switch

Mine just stoped working one day and it was the selinoids, that cost a pretty penny cause i didn't fix it right away so it really messed the torque converter up.In the morning i could barely back up it slipped so bad and if i went forward and tryed to go anywhere it would jerk and hop.... SO definatly look into it
