Dumb question, is there a Woodruf key slot on a stock P7100 or do you have to add one?

Is the hole in the timing case front cover going to be large enough to gain access to those cap screws on the drive gear to vary the timing?

a modified cover is coming shortly to allow access with out taking the entire timing cover off. My main concern was not timing adjustment, but loosing that adjustment.

you would need one of these

If only we could get a timing gear that used centripital force to advance the timing as the rpms increased.

I can envision how it would work but I dont have the machining tools or test equiptment to calibrate it properly as well as that one important thing called capital. Anyone familiar with the X-brain yoyo from 15years ago when yoyos made a breif comeback? (I was in middle school)

Looks like they turned the gear around and machined it to fit a hub. I don't see a timing mark but thats not a big deal. Nice! I will put that on my to do list.

I don't know if it can be made to fit on the CTD but Toyota had variable advance with flyweights on the 2H and 12HT 6cyl engines. This part should still be available as a spare, it was integrated into the gear, and protruded approx 1.5"
