No Headlights

I have no headlights for some reason, my day time running lights stopped working a little while ago, now my headlights won't work, not sure where to look.

try the head light switch, they go bad all the time. Search Headlight switch or similar or head light relay harness.

THey can melt because all the power goes thru the switch, instead of thru a relay. Plus, dimmming your lights will heat it up real hot, because of the rheostat. It creates resistance to time the lights, and resistance creates heat.
Napa sells the switch and harness.
THere is a recall for this part on most trucks up thru 97. my 97 was build later in 97 and not covered in the recall. even though it was the same part. Hope you find it. let us know

Cool

I didn't replace anything yet, my dealer figures it's some module under the hood for $155.00, I still have high beams, and if I play with the high beam switch I seem to be able to get the low's to come on.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be dirty contacts in the multifunction switch. Get some electrical contact cleaner from Radio Shack and spray inside the switch while switching the high / low beam. If this works it's a cheap fix.

OK I'll try that, so is the multifunction switch in the steering column?

It could also be the multi func like camel racer said. But typically, it has been the head light switch for me. Multi functions do fail, and are fairly easy to replace.
