no bus = no rear turn signals Suggestions??

no bus error on dash = no rear turn signals Just discovered that when a motorcycle passed me on my left while I had my left turn signal on. Good thing I was watching him. (I ride too so I try to look out for other bikes).

Looking for suggestions - As suggested on some threads, I have re-seated the plugs under the dash and under the fuse block in the engine compartment. Still have the no bus error. Overhead console is still working fine. Where else should I look?

This started a couple weeks ago after a rain when it was pretty damp out. After 15 mins of driving it would suddenly begin working again. Next start same thing. After a few days it went away and I was not having a problem at all last Fri. Truck sat over the weekend in the rain again - about 1.5 inches worth over a couple days. Hasn't worked since. May just be coincidence.

I am assuming that you have checked fuse number 28? I would think if that it good, then it would be the C4 connector under the fuse box.

I lost rear signal on right side, and found corroded/broken wires on drv side near the splice for the trl connection, also found a broken wire along the frame just ahead of the spare tire.

could be you have a couple seperate issues

Thanks for the responses. Checked the suspect fuses the first time. None blown. Went through the all of them last night pulling and inspecting every single one. Also re-seated plugs under dash again, then all of the plugs up high against the firewall and the one behind the drivers wheel. (What a place for a connection ). Also wiggled the wires from the cab where they came out through the firewall looking for an abraded wire or something.

Actually had it working at one point, so I backed around to unload some feed and off it went again. So at least I know it works.

Had to drive it to work. Started working a couple miles from the office. I am still suspicious of water causing a problem somewhere.

Did the bad wires in the back cause a no bus error on the dash? If so, I will look further back towards the tail lights and trailer connector.

Sounds more like a corroded ground connection to me,,, I'd check all the frame grounds or body grounds also.

I started checking the grounds on the drivers fender. I'll have to search the site for the 5 ground locations I have seen mentioned, unless someone knows where they are off hand and is willing to post them up again.
