no boost??
well i was driving my truck when i noticed that i was not getting any power in the upper RPM range ie above 1500 so i took a look and noticed that one of my boots was not fully connected with the clamp so i put the clamp back on and drove down the road and it was fine for a half mile and then it did the same thing i could hear air comming from somewhere i went home and in the same spot the hose was not connected can i use a regular hose clamp os the clamp bad or that one rubber hose please help no gauges yet and im bone stock with 228,000 miles thanks

Take the boot completely off, clean both the inside of the boot and the surface it mounts to,
you could have some oily residue making it slide off easier.
Often folks squirt some hairspray on there to both make it easier to get the boot on while it's wet,
then as it dries it makes a tacky surface to keep the boot there.
If that doesn't work, get some new boots and clamps.
