No 4WD - '90 W250

I've got a '90 Ram W250 4x4 w/ 318 for a snow plow truck. I decided to see if it would move today so I could plow snow if I had to.
I swapped in a Dana 60 front a couple years ago, so it just has normal lockout hubs; no vacuum stuff.
I don't drive it much at all but I do know the 4WD was working as of this past summer.

Come to find out the 4WD is not working/engaging.
Checked the lockouts...the right side is engaged....driver's side was stuck/wouldn't engage or disengage. It took minimal effort with a pipe wrench to get the driver's side hub to turn & now it turns fine?

Transfer case (241) seems to be going into all gears fine but I'm stuck in 2WD it seems.

I did notice that my front 60's knuckles are wet w/gear oil....possibly from the awkward angle I had to pull the truck out at last year when it was stuck in the mud. Gear oil started slowly seeping out of the wheel u-joint area almost immediately after I got un-stuck.
& all the pulling was done w/the wheel turned

I....don't really know what to check next but I definitely think my problem lies in the front axle someplace, or I broke something yanking it out of the mud?

You can start by trying to turn the axleshafts while the hubs are locked in 2wd. If they spin, its your hubs.
Can you spin your driveshaft with your hubs locked (2wd)?
Does your driveshaft spin freely in 4wd without the hubs locked? If so, its most likely your shifter linkage, if not, something nasty inside the case.

FINALLY got back to this truck...I did try the axleshaft method above back then & don't remember the outcome (sorry). I have just been working on it a little when I have time.

I did pull the front diff cover; no broken axleshafts.
The lockouts seem to be fine, nothing obviously wrong.
T-case shifter seems to operate fine, goes in all gears.
Sooo.... today I removed the rear driveshaft to see if I could narrow down the problem.
With just the front driveshaft in, everything operated as its' supposed to; hubs locked & in 4WD, truck moves....in 2WD, hubs unlocked, it does not move.

I'm starting to think transfer case problem?

It almost seems like something is binding.... the truck literally WILL get stuck on grass from a dead stop in 2WD & the rears will just spin...it was never like that before...
