Next Power Mod...

Well I just finished working on the outside of the truck so now it's back to focusing on the engine/power of the truck...

What would you suggest next? I'm thinking some sticks, some twins (possibly using the stock turbo with another one)...

What do you suggest?

Goals...?

Try to narrow down what you're wanting to do and at what power level. Is budget a concern? Obviously you'll need something to work in high elevation.

Ah....

Well seeing as I'm a law student, with a wife and a 1 year old... budget is probably a concern.

I drive my truck everyday and tow an 14k trailer about once a month.

Other than that, I'd like as much power as possible.... i'm building this truck to keep for quite a while, so I'm looking for the next step. I started with air, exhaust, gauges, chip, etc.....

Now what?

Thanks!!!!

A nice set of towing twins will support some decent hp. For a 500hp range truck I would recommend Mach 4 injectors. I recommend Mach injectors for a couple of reasons, they are a great injector, they hold their value and are easy to sell if you decide to go bigger down the road.

You can run a S400 under your top charger but turbine housing selection may play a part in how it works for you towing in higher elevation.

I'm at a disadvantage with regards to your elevation. I've towed up to 4000 ft but nothing above that so don't know how much things change after that with regards to turbo spool, smoke etc.

Sorry for ignorance, but...

Where can i find more about an s400? Who makes it? How much? Is there a "kit" to build the twins?

Thanks....

Thoughts on doing that before new injectors or do injectors first?

Borg Warner makes the S-400, they usually go for around $500-600 range. I've seen 2/3 kit, everything included except the top charger go from 1800-2300. I think Vulcan sells a kit. You also might want to hit up Lary Ellis here on DTR.

You can read about the S400 here.

Would it be stupid to put twins on with my current set up, and then get injectors later or should I do it the other way around (injectors then twins)?

Or is it better to just go with a big single?
