Newbie questions...

Hey, first post...
Just bought my first CTD- 2003 3500 quad cab 4x4(standard output). I live in Montana and winter isn't too far away. What reccomendations do you guys have for keeping it running in sud-zero temps. Probably been asked a hundred times, but this is my first diesel and first winter w/diesel ahead of me.
Thanks!-Steve

Re:Newbie questions...

Two biggies,

--Plug it in. they all have block heaters.

--Use a quality fuel conditioner.

Biggest thing is plug it in. Put the cord on a timer have it come on approx 4 hours before you are going to need the truckeach day.

WHere I live in South Carolina, our winter is nothing like yours. But, we do have about 3 months when it gets down in the teens at night during winter. I never plug mine in and it starts, right up, no problem. For severe winters like you get, just start using the plug when the weather gets to the freezing point. You will have no problems.
