newbie questions, rim spacer - tire size

I bought some BFG AT 285/70/17 for 03 4x4 dodge dullay. Sales rep at aftermarket truck shop said to go with 315 BFG AT. I think these are too big. your thoughts. go with my origional purchase or f--- it and go big.

second question

1. Rim spacer size and type. 2" or 3" ; steel or aluminum (sales rep said alum would eventually wobble) bs or true. Can order on line for about $150 (alum), truck shop will install steel spacers for $400.

truck shop said he would put 315s and rim spacer on for $2065 out the door.
I paid $1450 for the six 285. Take the 285 back and apply the $$ twards the 315s. Your thoughts please. I will eventually put the 2" level on front.

I will tow with this truck, about 4000-7000 lbs on occasion. thank you

Ok, I had 35X12.5 X-terrains on my truck and they had a 2'' spacer, looked good. Then switched to 285 70R17 with 1/4'' spacer, now I have 19.5 Ricksons, no spacer. I still have the spacers if your interested,pm me.
