this is why I bought the Ram.

the lady in the Buick said she was doing 30mph when she rear-ended my wife in the Dakota which was parked 15 feet or so behind the Ford. No skid marks, oil trail from the Buick is 38feet long, witness said she was doing about 45mph. straight hit, and all cars were within inches from the curb.

I really like the Ram, but I bought the Dakota new and took care of it myself inside and out, the wife is ok, but the next day is when loosing the truck finally hit me...man does that suck!!

Crumple Zone

Hi, That is a well planned crumple zone there. My wife got rear ended in her Matrix/Vibe and it scratched the bumper pretty good and we got 900 from their insurance. Repairs would have been 1900 with inside damage but they don't pay for what they can't see...either way it helped on the payment on my 1996 2500 that's ORANGE!!!
