new vp44
just ordered my new vp44 from MWFI, how long does it usually take to get? What puller work best (other than the 50.00 blue chip)?
Hopefully this will make me like my truck again, and maybe a little better fuel mileage to boot!

When I changed mine my I used a regular snap-on puller...has 3 like points, put the bolts through it into the timing gear, and then thread the large centre "bolt" through it into the pump shaft, worked great. Obviously can't be too big or else you won't be able to get a wrench in between the rad, fan, etc.

Got mine overnight. I used a cheapo harbor freight puller and 2 of the intake bolts. These bolts can be a tight fit inthe gear but they are the right thread. I saw a picture of a guy using the lifting ring with a couple sockets. He drilled a hole between the 2 that are in it and used a bolt there.
