new turbos

I just installed a set of twins and I was wondering what to do with the plug that was for the stock turbo my engine light is on because of it.

there is a boost fooler you can get from htt or II that you can plug back into it so your light will go off.

You don't need a boost fooler for that issue. Just remove the sensor from your oem turbo and plug it in. Tie wrap it back out of the way and it will take care of business as is. Your ECM is not getting a proper boost signal with it unplugged as you have it. It will perform much better once you do as directed abv.

That might work - might not. That didn't work on my truck. I ended up having to by the bypass plug from II. I hate that all these trucks are different.

Stock solenoid and tie wrap works...
Been working for me for the last 3 years.

ok, can someone explain it to me. if you have the boost sensor plugged in without boost fooler and tie wrapped to the side, won't the pcm throw low boost codes?

I need a boost sensor if anyone has one!! does not have to work, just be complete!

Its not a boost sensor, thats on the intake plate.
The solenoid we speak of is screwed into the stock turbo compressor housing.

Thats what we are removing and leaving plugged in.

well what the heck does it do then? cause i need one ASAP for a project that I am doing. Need one to put into an old turbo for some mock up stuff. does anyone have one?!?!

long story. just need one with the pigtail harness on it. i bought a turbo on here that did not have one and I had to rape the one off my old turbo to use on the new one. have someone interested in my old turbo but will not buy it without the sensor/solenoid. oh, and according to Cummins, you cant buy it without buying the ENTIRE turbo.

the stock one was making noise so I drove by the dealer and they imediatley started talking customer pay because I have gauges. so I bought a turbo from a member here that only had 2100 miles for $400 and it did not have the solenoid on it so I raped the old one off mine but I have a guy that wants it for some project but won't buy it unless it has the solenoid on it. so does anyone have one laying around that wants to get rid of it?
