New Turbo ?

I was wondering if anyone knows if a HX35 would cool better than the stock turbo on an 03 ? I bought a TST and if I run it above level 4 on power and 2 on torque it defuels pretty quick. I set the egts at 1400. I have a stock hx35 off of my 97 , was wondering if it would work better. I need to buy a trans before I get a new tubo. Thanks.

Todays turbos are so much better - you wouldn't want a 12v era turbo anyway! There's no comparison between the A2k on my 03 and the PDR 35/40 that was on my modded 97 215. The A2k has a huge turbine housing but responds super fast - better than a stocker. And it does it all without a wastegate to waste perfectly good exhaust gas. It's perfect with my Pred but I'd want the A3k for the next step. Craig
