Just got done adding my new turbo htb2 62/14 I am happy with it overall but I miss how snappy it was out of the hole with my stock hy35 does anyone have any ideas on how I can get some of that snappyness back with this turbo combo.

When i had my map sensor unplugged from the engine but still hooked up to the edge box it gave a little more bottom end, but it was to smokey once it warmed up. Or a smarty will give you a nice off the line kick.

I am from ohio and will be going back there this weekend from maryland. What part are you in? I am going back to Columbus for about a week, if your close call my cell @ 410 977 0681. I have the smarty, and was considering buying the same turbo.

First off I would think with an auto you would have wanted a 62/12 versus the 14. Secondly you might want to plug your map in. Add bottom end fueling with a bigger turbo and the lag is compounded. I have a 6spd with a 62/14 and the smarty made a noticeable improvement on getting it spooled. It will never be as fast as your Hy but with a 12 and the smarty it should make a good difference...

A cam would make power more linear and the truck more responsive while bringing down boost and egts
I think you should start with the housing since you want hy type of spool. The smaller housing will hurt top end, but if you got a cam down the road it'd open that top end back up
