May not be what you're looking for, but most people just run them like that, and don't turn all the way...unless, that is, it's necessary, because it doesn't really hurt anything.
You may try wheels with around 5.71" - 6" backspacing to avoid the control arm rub, but you may acquire fender rub.

Yep , the problem is , there`s a fine line between hitting the control arms , and hitting the fenders. I`m using 1/4 in. spacers up front(have been for a few yrs. now) running stock wheels and 37X12.50-17 Goodyear GSAs (H1 factory tires) with no rubbing....with a Superlift 6in susp.lift.

It's pretty much a given from reading on here that 35's will rub on stock wheels.
Options would be levelling kit or different wheels.
I hope to get the 35's with some 08 Hummer wheels, they don't rub but I'd still like to get a levelling kit anyhow.

35s will rub the control arms even with a leveling kit(or even a 6in. lift kit) when using the stock wheels.
The Hummer wheels are the way to go , if you want to keep it nice and clean.
They look sweet.

I check craigslist everyday...
...sometimes even more often
If you have a Hummer dealer anywhere close , they normally have takeoffs that they sell pretty cheap.
If you go the e-bay route , you`ll be paying a ton in shipping , unless you get lucky and find someone close.

If you do indeed get the H2 wheels (the new style for 08 is nicer looking) be aware that there is some slight modification on the center bore that needs to be done. Do a search, you'll find enough reading to last you hours.

I've been following this kinda thing for a couple years here, I'm pretty sure a leveling kit solves the rub but can't say for absolutely 100% certain.
