Hi all, My name is Bill I am from St.Louis, MO. I am working on converting my 2wd dually to 4x4, here are some pic of my progress. I will be using the rear end from a 5 speed truck, how do you tell if it is a 70 or 80? Thanks, Bill

Hey Bill, welcome to DTR! Im not that familiar with the first gens, but a one ton five speed should have a dana 80. If Im wrong sorry, but the first gen guys will deffinitely know for sure. Nice Trucks!

If the rear is out of a 1st gen it is a D70. D80 did not start until the 2nd gen trucks.
