I thought that this was the fix to the junk Carter but after last week, I beg to differ. I've got it mounted by the tank, big lines and no banjos and it lasted a whopping 8 mths. At first I thought I got a bad batch of fuel and after 3 filter changes on the side of the road, which after each change my pressure returned, the pump finally gave up and I could pull it below 6 psi pulling my camper. So, that night I got the joy of changing the pump in the campground but luckily I'm an expert at and it only took 45 min (wouldn't have taken me so long but there were a few beers involved). We'll see how the new one does but if it goes, Airdog here I come.

I've been wondering about the AirTex pump. Do you have the Vulcan big line kit? How much was the adapter for the AirTex?

Yes I do have the kit and the adapter was @ $10 I think. Maybe it was just a fluke but if this one doesn't make it at least 2-3 years, I'm done.

Well, now it's proven that even the redesigned pump is junk...my new one made it 500 miles. [verymad] Here's the details: I put the first redesigned Airtex on in Nov '07, 2nd last Friday night (July 18)and then replaced it on the side of the road with the one that I had replaced in Nov (I guess it's a good thing that I kept it) today (July 26). I'm through with these things and I think I'll order a Rapture or something along that line.
