Question New Quadzilla High HP Box For 2nd Gen's??

Does anyone know the scoop yet on these box's yet??? I would really like to try one and see if there is any "Shudder" effects like the TST PM3 has? Thanks...

I think Big Blue is your man as he is the one who was picked as the Alpha tester. Beta testers will be chosen in the future. I doubt that he has even received the new module yet as he was just picked this week. It'll be some time before he gets a good feel for it and what settings are available.

The TST Comp shudder may be a result of the VP44 and not the programming. There may be no way to avoid that and produce that much HP. Never know though, it'll be interesting hearing back on the testing.

Neither the Edge Drag Comp or the Blue Chip Redline box, has a shudder on my truck. The TST Comp does have a wicked shudder, again, on my truck. Both the Edge drag Comp and the Redline box, ran quicker in the quarter mile, so I think it is possible for Quad to do it, at that hp level.

Interesting. I've always heard that the Redline box shudders just like the TST Comp.

The shudder thing is quite interesting? How come an Edge Drag box has the same output numbers and it doesn't have any shudder. Not trying to pry too much Quad but does the new Quad boxes run into this shudder thing? The shudder can't be good for the ol' VP I'm thinking???

drag comp does not have the same output numbers as an TST comp. 120 drag compared to 180 TST?

I don't have the shudder on our test trucks but......

We are sort of a hybrid between a Comp and a TST COMP or Redline.

See the Comp would be pretty weak if it were not for the CAN fueling and timing added to the actual pump stretch. I am not sure why Edge does not get very aggressive with the pump on its own? The TST would be pretty wicked if they had CAN. Sort of like stacking a EZ or whatever with a COMP.

We are very aggressive with just the pump as our previous customers can attest and we added the CAN fueling and Timing.

Now, I think the biggest thing that makes a difference is our processing power. I am not going to say what we are using but, it is considerably faster and more powerful than anything else. What this does is allows to look at more things to make fueling and timing decisions.

So if your fueling map is one dimensional and looks only at boost then your map will be small and there will be times when you want more power sooner and times when you want less power (smoke) but, are getting more.

We are watching TP, RPM, Boost, and Load% just to make a fueling adjustment. This way it is smooth yet when you slap the pedal she is gone. Then we watch other things as we go but, not to decide how much fuel.

The bottom line is that in the past if you wanted big power it was sort of unusable and now it should be a lot more drivable. The low end should be considerably better than anything else and the high end is just as good if not better.
