New PS pump noisy

Hey fellas,

Well, fri am i got in my truck only to find my ps and brakes not working. So i did some research to find that the PS pump was probly the culprit.

Sat i replaced the pump with a reman from napa. I noticed it made a bit of noise while test driving after pump replacement. So when i dropped off the old pump i asked the guy at napa about the noise and he said wait a few days to allow for some break-in and see if it stops. I have driven it around for about 100 mi now and it is noisy around 1200-1400 rpms when im turning the wheel and/or on the brakes. Is this normal? Im thinking maybe i should add some lucas PS fluid additive, but i also dont think this should be required for a new pump?

Fluid level has been checked multiple times, no foam, up to level. I also noticed the PS lines going in/out of the brake booster are hot to the touch. Normal?

What are your thoughts on this? TIA -Jake

It could have air in the system.
Is the fluid frothy looking?
You might want to jack the front up, start the engine and turn from stop to stop several times.

I did the turn the wheels side to side motion when i first added fluid to try to get all the air out. Fluid has no froth to it all.
