I just put on new Mopar seat covers and I have two questions:

In the instructions is says that you have to "set" the color?

It says to try them on and make sure they fit OK and then to soak them in salt water (tap water + salt) and then to wash them.

Anyone know why?

Also, the two front covers are a little different from one another.

One has two extra loops where the bottom half meets the top half, and the other does not.

There's nothing in these very brain-dead instructions about this.

Anyone know why the two sides are different?

It's not obvious by any means what these two extra loops on just the one seat cover are for.

BTW, these things fit pretty tight in the back where the velcro folds over.

Did yours fit that tight? It's very hard to pull them (the two velcro tabs) together and attach them.

I never washed my covers and never had a problem with the colour transfering onto my clothes. I used my truck as a work truck though so I am mainly in coveralls anyways, not a huge issue for me if the colour did transfer.

I put the cover with the two holes on the passenger side. I put the seatbelt buckles through them. Not sure if they are supposed to go there but it works.

I was also worried about the cheap velcro holding them on but I have them on for months now and they have yet to come apart. The velcro wasn't even sown on properly.

My only complaint with them is you kind of lose the lower storage box that is between the seats. Well you don't lose it but it is a pain in the butt to get too now.

I really like them and they are worth the dough. They have to be the toughest seat covers I have ever used.

I like them too. Very good quality, tough material.

I had a hard time pulling that velcro strap all the way around to the back of the seat to line it up to attach to the back velcor but finally figured it out. Before you pull the front side down over the seat cushion you're supposed to attach the velcro in the back. That way you have plenty of slack to attach in the back.

Then your supposed to pull the from cushion cover over.

Alot easier that way.

I first did it in reverse order.

Money well spent IMO!

I'm putting the middle cover on the top half of the console, not the seat cushion. I always leave the console down to lean on anyway and should still be able to get into the storage box without a problem.

I Never washed mine either.They have held up well in the last year.Mine fit tight also.Good money spent IMHO.coobie

I have the CoverCraft covers and the instructions said to set the colors only on the dark colored ones, these covers fit real good also!!

Guess I should have read the instructions. Me and the parts girl at the dealer pulled em out of the box and slapped em on. Been riding on them for a year now, and no stains or color transfers, I just wipe the spilled coffee off with my sleeve.

i just got in from putting these seat covers on, i did it myself and only took me about 20-30 mins, very impressed with how they look and fit. very easy to put on. i think the hardest part with them were putting the covers over the head rest, i shouldn't say it was hard but just trying to get the covers to get straight was a little bit of a pain. i give them a 10 very nice quality
